MENTORSHIP

MENTORSHIP

To be an artist is to be willing to play, experiment, and engage with spontaneity. It is within this supportive framework that I invite you to join me, in the space between community and vulnerability, where all things creative are possible. Here, in this nurturing environment, I aim to meet you where you are, where we will grow and learn together, fostering a mutually enriching experience that helps your voice grow built around guidance, mutual respect and of course, a love of art.

“You are a treasure as a teacher. Your approachable and inviting personality makes me feel like I’m in the room with you. You offered a full variety of techniques, and I appreciate your richness of experience.” – Karen

“Stacy’s style and ability for instruction provides a more than adequate space for artists of all backgrounds and experience. I was grateful for her encouragement and  ‘why Not?’ approach.” – Mary A.

SUPPORTIVE SESSIONS

The path of the artist can be a solitary one, and finding guidance on how to grow your practice can be difficult.

But it doesn’t have to be.

This is why I created the Supportive Session. I want to change the typical dynamic of art teaching, to make it more accessible and more tailored to the needs of each creative. My aim is to meet you where you are, to join you in conversation to discuss your needs, your aims, and how I can support you in that journey. There are 2 kinds of Supportive Sessions:

  • One-on-One
  • Group (4-8 people)

I invite you to scroll down to learn more. I look forward to the opportunity to connect and explore how – together – we can achieve your goals.

          GROUP SUPPORTIVE SESSIONS

As an artist, to have community – to be a part of a shared experience – is crucial. Not only does it allow in other perspectives, but it helps one build a language to engage with your own work, and that of others. In a Group Supportive Session, you will find a curated circle of like-minded creatives invested in building and developing their work.

The Group Supportive Session will always occur in the last week of each month (subject to change), and will allow each attendee to submit up to 3 images for critique. Of couse, if you don’t have any images to submit and would like to discuss your practice more broadly, that is more than welcome! All are welcome, and all that is needed is an eagerness to share and learn. Scroll down to learn more about the next Group Supportive Session.
